Nasza podróż trwa – mieliśmy zaszczyt uczestniczyć w kolejnej odsłonie projektu From the GroundUp! 6 lutego odbyła się konferencja organizowana przez Lokalt Ledd Utveckling Halland ze Szwecji. Był to dzień ważnych rozmów, spostrzeżeń i refleksji na temat zaufania do UE i jej instytucji w czasach dezinformacji.
Pierwsza część konferencji rozpoczęła się od prezentacji Svena Kastö, dyrektora biura Småland Blekinge Halland South Sweden w Brukseli. SBHSS pracuje nad połączeniem pięciu władz regionalnych i dwóch uniwersytetów z europejskimi decydentami, sieciami i partnerami projektów. Ich członkami są Uniwersytet Linneusza, Uniwersytet Jönköping, Region Halland, Region Jönköping, Region Kronoberg, Region Kalmar i Region Blekinge. Wspólnie tworzą dynamiczny region o określonych kompetencjach w zakresie biogospodarki, zdrowia cyfrowego i zrównoważonych budynków. Svena Kastö omówił wyzwania stojące przed UE w nadchodzących latach i ich znaczenie dla szczebla lokalnego i regionalnego w Europie.
Kolejną prelekcję wygłosił profesor nadzwyczajny Andreas Jahrehorn Önnerfors, pracownik Media Institute Fojo, który pracuje nad wzmocnieniem odporności szwedzkiego dziennikarstwa na dezinformację. Wykład dotyczył dezinformacji, wzroście poziomu jej zrozumienia i wpływie na zaufanie polityczne.
Niewątpliwie jednym z najbardziej inspirujących momentów konferencji była dyskusja w World’s Cafe, podczas której uczniowie ze Szkoły Ludowej Katrinebergs wraz z partnerami projektu oraz zaproszonymi gośćmi mogli podzielić się swoimi perspektywami i pomysłami na wzmocnienie zaufania w UE.
Konferencję zamknięto dialogiem obywatelskim między młodymi ludźmi z obszarów wiejskich a politykami. Dyskusja pokazała, jak wysoki poziom zaangażowania oraz świadomość działań wykazuje młode szwedzkie pokolenie.

Our journey continues – we were honoured to participate in the next instalment of From the GroundUp! A conference organised by Lokalt Ledd Utveckling Halland from Sweden took place on February 6th. It was a day of important conversations, insights and reflections on trust in the EU and its institutions in times of disinformation.
The first part of the conference started with a presentation by Sven Kastö, director of the Småland Blekinge Halland South Sweden office in Brussels. SBHSS is working on connecting five regional authorities and two universities with European policy makers, networks and project partners. Their members are Linnaeus University, Jönköping University, Halland Region, Jönköping Region, Kronoberg Region, Kalmar Region and Blekinge Region. Together they form a dynamic region with specific competences in bioeconomy, digital health and sustainable buildings. Sven Kastö discussed the challenges facing the EU in the coming years and their relevance to the local and regional level in Europe.
Another lecture was given by Associate Professor Andreas Jahrehorn Önnerfors, a fellow at the Fojo Media Institute, who works on strengthening Swedish journalism’s resilience to disinformation. The lecture was about disinformation, the growth of understanding of it and the impact on political trust.
Undoubtedly one of the most inspiring moments of the conference was the discussion at the World’s Café, where students from the Katrinebergs Folk School, together with project partners and invited guests, were able to share their perspectives and ideas on strengthening trust in the EU.
The conference closed with a civil dialogue between young people from rural areas and politicians. The discussion showed the high level of commitment and awareness of action shown by the young Swedish generation.
